Roof Replacement
Full tear-off and replacement on sloped, shingled homes. Architectural asphalt from Owens Corning or CertainTeed, with a Class 4 impact-resistant option if you want it.
Dylan Sobczak grew up on his father’s roofing crews. Today he runs Sobczak Exteriors across the Missouri side of St. Louis — a 10-year workmanship warranty on every replacement and a written price before you commit to anything.

Real houses, real crews, photographed by us on the job. Nothing borrowed.

Every photo on this page is a real Sobczak Exteriors job. No stock houses, no borrowed portfolios.
… Eric was quick to respond to my initial inquiry requesting a quote, and he got me scheduled within a week. Eric also responded quickly to any text inquiries I had and was very informative throughout the process. My roof and shed were done by the afternoon and the crew left a super clean job site - you wouldn’t have even known they had been there. Dylan also conducted a personal inspection to ensure I was pleased with the work.

Leaks, blown-off shingles, flashing, boots and valleys. If a repair will genuinely hold, Dylan will tell you to repair it — that answer costs you nothing.
Vinyl, fiber cement and composite siding — replacement and repair. The roof and the walls are one envelope, so it pays to fix them with the same crew.
Seamless gutters and downspouts, sized and pitched to actually move Missouri rain away from your foundation.
Sloped, shingled roofs only. Sobczak Exteriors doesn’t take flat-roof or commercial work. If that’s what you have, Dylan will say so on the phone instead of wasting your afternoon.

In 1992 Dylan’s father, Jan Sobczak, put the family name on a roofing company. Dylan grew up inside it — starting on the clean-up crew, then working his way through every job on the site, weekends and summers, until the trade was simply what he knew.
He moved to Missouri in 2017 and spent the next stretch of his career with one of the larger roofing outfits in the state, learning how the big shops run — and what they charge for the privilege.
Then he took the family name back out and rebranded it as Sobczak Exteriors, here in St. Louis. It’s a small shop on purpose. The sales side is two people — Dylan and Eric, his rep — and the owner’s name stands behind every job afterward.
Measured first.
In writing.
No pressure.
There is no price on this page, and that’s deliberate. Roofs differ by size, pitch, the number of layers already up there and what the crew finds once the old shingles come off. Anyone quoting your house off a web page is guessing.
Your roof gets measured in person — by Dylan or Eric, his rep, never a rotating sales team — walked through honestly, and put in writing before you commit to anything. If it turns out you don’t need a roof yet, you’ll hear that too — and that answer costs you nothing.
Low overhead. You're not paying for a showroom you'll never visit.
A measured roof and a written number. No laminated presentation, no discount that expires tonight.
Storm chasers spend it, then leave. Dylan lives here.
Sobczak Exteriors' own warranty on the install.
Sobczak Exteriors installs Owens Corning and CertainTeed asphalt shingles — the two lines Dylan has spent his career on. Both carry manufacturer shingle warranties up to 50 years, on top of the 10-year workmanship warranty on the install itself.
Impact-resistant shingles rated to take a 2-inch hailstone. Worth asking about in this metro. Some insurers offer a discount for an impact-rated roof — check with your carrier, because that’s their call, not ours.
Owens Corning and CertainTeed architectural lines carry manufacturer warranties up to 50 years on the shingle. Dylan will walk you through what that actually covers before you sign.

Most of the roofs Dylan touches in this metro are storm-related, so this is the part of the job he knows cold. It starts the same way every time: he comes out, gets on the roof, and tells you what’s actually up there.
What we won’t do is tell you what your insurance company is going to decide. Nobody honest can. We document the damage properly, meet your adjuster on the roof, and make sure the scope reflects the real condition of the roof. The decision stays with your carrier.
The inspection happens on the roof, photographed as found — not eyeballed from the driveway. No charge, no obligation, no hard close afterward.
Sometimes it's a claim. Sometimes it's a repair. Sometimes the roof is fine and you get your afternoon back.
If you file, Dylan meets the adjuster, walks the roof with them, and makes sure nothing real gets missed.
The person who inspected it is the person running the crew that replaces it.
Two clips Dylan shot himself, standing on jobs he had just finished. Captions are his; so is the phone number.

Sobczak Exteriors works St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County, plus the Missouri suburbs in between — roughly a 40-minute radius of downtown, all of it on the Missouri side.
Dylan doesn’t cross the river. Staying tight to home is the whole reason he can be on your roof quickly and still be around in five years.
Not on the list but still on the Missouri side? Call and ask — (618) 610-2023.
Send the basics and Dylan or Eric calls you back. No call centre in between, and no obligation on the estimate.
It depends on the roof — the size, the pitch, how many layers are already up there and what the crew finds underneath. No website price is going to be accurate for your house. Yours gets measured in person, explained in plain language, and priced in writing, free, before you commit to anything.
Class 4 is the top impact rating for asphalt shingles — tested to take a 2-inch hailstone. In a hail metro like St. Louis it's worth pricing out. Some insurers offer a discount for an impact-rated roof; that's your carrier's decision, so ask them directly rather than taking a roofer's word for it.
Yes — it's most of what Dylan does. The inspection is free. If you file a claim, he documents the damage, meets your adjuster on the roof, and makes sure the scope matches the real condition of the roof. What happens with the claim is your insurer's decision, and we won't pretend otherwise.
A 10-year workmanship warranty from Sobczak Exteriors on the installation, plus the manufacturer's warranty on the shingle itself — Owens Corning and CertainTeed architectural lines carry coverage up to 50 years. Dylan will show you what each one actually covers.
No. Sobczak Exteriors does sloped, shingled residential roofs — plus siding and gutters. If you have a flat roof or a commercial building, Dylan will tell you on the phone instead of sending someone out.
No. Missouri side of the river only — St. Louis City and County, St. Charles County, and the Missouri suburbs in between.
Dylan or Eric, his rep — the entire sales side of the company is those two. There is no call centre, no rotating reps, and the owner's name is on every job.
Free estimate, free post-storm inspection, and a straight answer about whether you need a roof at all. Pick a time online, or just call Dylan.
